Professor Naoki Odanaka (Member of the Science Council of Japan) of this Graduate School was elected to the Communication, Education and Outreach Committee at the InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) General Assembly held in Cairo, Egypt, in December 2025.

The IAP was established in 2016 to advance sound policies, improve public health, promote excellence in science education, and achieve other critical development goals by connecting networks of scientists in the natural sciences, social sciences, engineering, and medicine. It currently has member academies from over 140 countries and regions.

The Communication, Education, and Outreach Committee is one of three standing committees within the IAP, hones communication links between IAP and its member academies and networks.
